Conservation Districts establish conservation priorities, resolve soil loss complaints, establish acceptable soil loss limits, publish annual reports, approve soil conservation plans, and assist in the management of district funds and personnel.

The Hardin County Soil and Water Conservation District invites everyone to get involved in preserving our essential natural resources for future generations. It is the mission of the Hardin SWCD to provide leadership regarding technical, educational, and financial assistance that conserves natural resources.
